Oleificio dei Castelli is located on the first hills of Reggio Emilia a few kilometers from the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. A place surrounded by nature where the Cepelli family has been dealing with edible oils for over fifty years and does so with the desire to bring to the table a product of the highest quality 100% Italian.
The Extra Virgin Olive Oil is obtained exclusively from Italian cultivars: Nocellara (Sicily), Biancolilla (Sicily), Ogliarola (Puglia), Dritta (Abruzzo) and Coratina (Puglia).
Our company’s goal is to bring on our customers’ tables an oil that strikes the olfactory sense for its fragrance and the palate for its intense flavor. Our oil will rise within your most elaborate dishes but it will be able to surprise you even on a simple bruschetta.
The Processing Process
The olives are harvested by hand and comb and then stored in aerated boxes. Within 24 hours they are then pressed, always keeping the right temperature, with high-tech machines that allow to maintain a high level of polyphenols as well as save water and electricity. The oil is stored in temperature-controlled silos and then bottled according to the request, so that our product arrives fresh on your tables.
